Terms and Conditions – Areas we cover

We cover all corners of Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire Daily. We can attend to all areas within 2 working days subject to parts and information supplied to enable an attendance.

The terms and conditions relating to the supply of parts and labour services by The Service Centre Grimsby Ltd. Instructing our services, you fully agree and accept to bound by the below terms having understood them before proceeding with booking an engineer attendance.

The terms apply to any booked repair via a phone call to our office or via emailed bookings including books on behalf of insurance companies and manufacturers. Customers must be over 18 and present at the property during the visit.

We shall inform of the costs for the repair during the initial phone call or email, where the customer shall be informed of our terms on the website before proceeding with verbally agreeing a booking.

We charge a fixed labour rate to attend this £72 plus vat = £84 and must be payable upon attending for cash customers or via bank transfer prior attending for digital payment. If payment is not made via bank transfer prior to the visit the booking will be cancelled and no engineer will attend. This fixed rate includes any further visits to install parts should they be required, if parts are required we will provide a quote for parts only and this is to be agreed and paid for before parts are ordered as we cannot cancel any order once placed with the distributor.

To enable an engineer to attend we shall require a model, serial and product number this can be found on your appliance in visable area normally within the appliance or on or around the door. ideally a photo should be emailed into office@servicecentregrimsby.co.uk.

We are not accountable for the availability or supply dates of spare parts from your manufacturer nor the failure component or the failure of your appliance in the repair of the appliance. All appliances are fully tested whilst on site for electrical, gas and water defects or leakages. We shall not be liable for any leaks or damage caused prior, during or after the engineers visit due to component failure from an item on or around your appliance including your house services.

We are unable to wear overshoes but happy to remove shoes to access the working area, once at the appliance safety workwear must be worn at all times.

Your appliance must be installed to manufacturers specification and must be either removed prior to attending or easily removable, we have the right to refuse to remove an appliance if the potential of damage might be caused in removing. Kickboards must be removed, appliances not glued into position, if double stacked must be on the floor, we shall not refit wooden decor doors as this is part of your kitchen not appliance, your appliance must be able to be disconnected from the electrical and water supply and have compliant supply to the appliance.

We accept no liability to damage caused should we have to remove the appliance from its existing location this included units and flooring including vinyl, protection must be suppled by the customer.

All repairs come with a 30 day guarantee from completion for the original fault reported and part supplied and fitted, we cannot guarantee any further faults arising from the repair. This does not affect your statutory rights under the consumer rights act 2015 or any associated laws.

If we attend to your repair having booked in with our office and you are not present on the date agreed we are unable to return without a missed call fee of £60 being paid. Calls are booked form 8am to 6pm and our engineer will call from a withheld number prior to give you a eta for the day.
